About Me
I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University. My first
year at LMU I taught Philosophy of Human Nature, Ethics, and an undergraduate seminar
on Kierkegaard. This year I am teaching Philosophy of Human Nature, Aesthetics, and a
graduate seminar on Kant's
Critique of Pure Reason.

I started teaching at Loyola Marymount shortly after I completed my Ph.D. at Purdue
University in the fall of 2008. You can find more information about my research and work in
progress here.

When I am not teaching or in my office, I enjoy visiting the many interesting neighborhoods
of Los Angeles with my wife, Kerry. I also like to hike in the beautiful Santa Monica
Mountains that overlook the Malibu coast and Santa Monica Bay. It's important to me to
know that natural beauty is just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Los
Angeles.
