I.  DISCUSSION:     In place of a lecture there will be a discussion of Glenny's book.

         II. THERE IS NO FINAL EXAM IN THIS SEMINAR. YOUR GRADE WILL BE
              BASED ON SEMINAR  PARTICIPATION, WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS, ORAL
              REPORTS, &  TERM PAPER.

      III. WE WILL MEET NEXT WEEK [MAY 6th] TO DISCUSS  M. SELLS, The Bridge
          Betrayed.

            NB. In order that we will have an intelligent discussion, each student will prepare
                   TWO questions from each chapter in the book for general discussion. In
                   addition,  each student will type out a ONE page SINGLE-spaced reflection
                   on Sells' theme. This written assignment is due on May 6th. Late papers [for
                   any reason] will not be accepted.
