Physics 201- Introduction to Electricity & Magnetism
September 30- Little bit of everything

  Potentials due to point charges

What is the electric potential at a point that is 3.0cm from a fixed particle of charge 6.0mC?  How much work must we do in order to move a particle of charge 3.0mC from infinity to that point?

What is the potential at point P, located at the center of the square of point charges.  Assume that the distance of a side is 1.3m and the charges are each 12nC.

8 point charges (each has a charge Q) are equally spaced and fixed around a circle of radius R.  What are the electric potential and electric field due to the charges at the center of the circle?  (Assume that the reference point is at infinity.)
