  Induced electric fields/ emfs/ currents- Motional emf
 

Consider a metal rod of length L, moving through a magnetic field of strength B.  The rod's velocity (v) is perpendicular to the magnetic field.  Describe what, if anything, happens to the electrons in the rod.
 
 
 

This is an emf that is not created by a change in the magnetic field or flux, like the previous situations.  Instead, this emf relies on movement through the field.
