Don't forget to turn in a signed contract by Friday.

If, for some reason, you didn't email me with your answers to the exercises, please send at least a "hello" by Friday.  This way I have everybody's preferred email addresses.

There are exercises due on Friday (if you choose the practice-intense option)

Today we'll begin the "charge unit", where we describe what causes electric forces-

  • Conservation of charge (one of the fundamental conservation laws of the universe)
  • Quantization of charge & kinds of charges
  • "Grounding"
  • Charging objects (transferring of charge)
  • Conductors, insulators (& semiconductors)
  • Polarization/ dipoles
