Consider a horizontally
launched projectile (much ike what we'll do in lab this week). Notice
how the horizontal component of the velocity is constant, there is no horizontal
acceleration. The vertical component of the velocity is given by
vy (t)= ay t, where ay = -9.8m/s2
and the y position is y (t)= yo + voyt + 1/2ay
t2 (here voy= 0).
