A copy of the textbook as well as Student
Solutions Manual are now on reserve at the library. The manual
has (rough) solutions for many odd problems useful when studying for tests.

Vectors

A vector is a quantity with both a length
and a direction.

Vectors can be described by a series of numbers
(components) or by a direction and length (magnitude).

We can add or subtract vectors graphically
or numerically.

2D motion

Much more common than 1D motion.

May appear to be more complicated, but actually
involves no new physics.

Each component can be assumed to be independent
of each other.
