Word of the Week #1: Loonie

The Canadian dollar coin. First introduced in 1987 to replace the paper dollar bill, the Loonie has become the defacto term for the country's currency. Various years have shown the Loonie sporting new designs to honour a particular event or milestone, but even if the emblematic bird is not prsent, the coin is always called the Loonie!
