TEACHING
During the fall 2008 semester, I'm teaching two sections of PHIL 329 Philosophical Issues in Ethics. The "unofficial" title of the course is Wicked: Philosophical Issues in the Broadway Musical. The course involves a trip (generously subsidized by the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts) to the Pantages Theater in Hollywood to see a production of the musical. The musical will provide a "spring board" for discussing and a source of rich illustrations of the three main topics of the course, which are: (1) moral luck; (2) moral realism and anti-realism; and (3) morality and friendship. My office hours are M/W 10-12. My office is located in University Hall 3749.
