When looking for ways to teach with technology, ask yourself a few questions first:

  1. 1.What is it that I want to accomplish?

  2. 2.How will technology help achieve this goal?

  3. 3.Can serve one or both of these two functions? Enhance learning and/or making the teaching and learning process easier.

These three questions are just a beginning. Think of them as a springboard in self-evaluating your courses and how you can make them a more enriching experience for your class. It’s always best to look openly and honestly at what you do well and what you can improve on. Create a table of strengths and weaknesses. Is there a way that technology can help you overcome some of your weaknesses? Ask your ITA. I’m sure he’s got an idea or two.
