My research is in low-dimensional topology, generally using combinatorial methods. I began in knot theory, studying finite-type invariants, and now work on spatial graphs.
Preprints and Publications
For one of my recent projects, my students Loren Abrams and Lowell Trott and I wrote a program, called Gordian to count the links and knots in a spatial graph. The program and user's manual are available here.
Spatial Graphs Conference, June 6-9, 2013
In June 2013, Erica Flapan, Ramin Naimi and I organized a conference on Spatial Graphs at Loyola Marymount University. Go here for information about the conference, including slides from the talks.
